Dust Off Your Crystal Ball

by Winter on January 11, 2013

For the third time in as many days I have had requests for “a good psychic.” What does that mean?  Is someone going to say you are a “bad” psychic if you tell a person something they don’t want to hear?  We all differ in our tolerance for “reality,” so even though I can only share what I see, sense or hear with a client, it doesn’t mean they want to, or will, hear it.

A crystal ball would be a good  thing to have, especially now, 2013. And in a way, we each have a crystal ball.  We just have to take time to dust it off and look at it. Knowing that too much knowledge can overwhelm, these are some of the things I see.  Look, if you dare.

The fiscal cliff wasn’t fixed, their fixes were temporary. From all I see, sense, read, the US ecomony will suffer a severe recession by the end of the year (in fact, we never left the recession).

Our fossil fuel problems have not been solved. New sources of oil have not solved the fact we picked the low-lying fruit from the trees (drilled the cheap oil).  From now on, oil will be expensive.

Weather changes, drought, cold, will continue to add to food shortages. Food prices will continue to climb. I think we have just begun to see what Mother Nature can do.

Our “news” will continue to not report on anything of substance, but rather keep us distracted by the latest movie star’s ramblings.

We will continue to be dumbed down by stupid television shows and movie remakes.  No originality here.

Fear will continue to be a household word, because we are told to be afraid.  Today it is the flu, not the swine flu, that wasn’t as bad as they originally said. Next week it will be something else.

And so it goes.

What you really want a psychic to tell  you is that you will be all right, that you will get through this, and things will return to normal (whatever normal is for you).

Here is my  answer.

Yes, you will be all right because you are more than your physical body. There are other worlds, dimensions, realities beyond this reality. You have to want to discover them, and take time to know them personally. Meditation, music, creative endeavors, walks in nature. Our material world is not all there is.

Things will never return to what they were, or whatever you consider normal. We are living in interesting times, with the only thing being certain is that there is uncertainty. Whatever plans you make, know that these plans can change, they can turn on a dime.

Expect more Black Swan events in your life.

Don’t expect to always have a stocked grocery store just up the road, or that you will have the fuel to drive to the grocery store.

Don’t expect that there will always be a pill or a shot to help you with whatever ailment you might have.

Don’t expect anyone else to fix things, whether it be our national debt or your dishwasher that stopped working.

Dust off your crystal ball and see what you need to do to live in these interesting times. I might suggest that you:

Get out of debt,

Grow, at least, some of your own food, and

Get to know your neighbors.

You’ll be glad you did.

d.a, checked out “farm natters.” I/we have had one or more geese since we moved to the woods (our first mistake, bringing geese, etc. to the woods of Maine.) That said, I love your blog. After 20 or so geese, we still have Abbey Goose, who thinks she is a hen. If ever you want to take a trip to Maine, well…you know where to find us.
