Discovering Things We Do Not Understand

by Winter on October 12, 2015

According to Einstein, “The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious.” Lately, it seems that most of us have fallen away from the mysterious, from miracles, and from events that cannot be explained. We are “spiritually offline” ignoring things we do not understand.

The thought of the mysterious, or “how does the Universe work?” was brought home to me recently when I attended the annual meeting of Beech Tree Labs, hosted by the Founder and President, John McMichael, PhD (immunologist and virologist.) Many doctors, veterinarians, and others who support John and his work attend this meeting. At one point I felt as if we had stepped into the worlds of Rudolf Steiner, Wilhelm Reich, Viktor Schauberger, and more recently Bill Bengston(who occasionally attends these meetings.)

For three days we listened to case studies, which could only fall under the heading of miraculous. This wasn’t the first time that I learned of people recovering from “terminal” illnesses by using a Resonant Signaling Therapy John created (I have had personal experience with John’s RMST for both myself and our pets. I know they work.)  And it wasn’t just John’s work. Dr. Burt Berkson was also in attendance, presenting case studies showing his breakthrough treatments using the antioxidant Alpha Lipoic Acid.

The concept that grabbed me the most was a presentation by Bernadette Doran, Founder and Director of Chicago’s Equilibrium.*  Bernadette presented research based in the energy healing methods of Bill Bengston. The concept of “energy healing” isn’t new to me so why, at this point in my life, did it grab me?

In my opinion, there are several reasons. First, my personal encounter with a cardiologist who saw the heart as merely a mechanical device and me as a just another patient to be put on drugs….forever.  The word, “unprescribe” is not in his vocabulary. In his mind, life style has nothing to do with health. Added to that, when my insurance company sent me a reminder to refill a prescription, one I no longer take, I was just short of irate.

Second, and probably more importantly, Bengston’s work (and that of Rupert Sheldrake), offers “potential” answers to why some people get well after they are scanned for health problems. All along my intention has been to get information that can help the person heal (be it body, mind, or spirit.) It hasn’t been to actually heal, although healing energies are always offered during the course of a session. Bengston’s work supports the idea that when we offer healing energies we are helping the client strengthen their immune system, enabling them to heal.

Many years ago, my sojourn into the field of “Medical Intuition” started with a cartoon character diagnosing the body of my monitor during one of my lab sessions at the Monroe Institute.  Shortly afterward, I met an M.D./PhD from Brown University who was interested in the work of Edgar Cayce.  We teamed up in an attempt to explore and understand what was taking place when we scanned a body.  (I use the pronoun “we” because a scan is never just one person, it includes the monitor, the client, and sometimes a third, interested party.)

Frequently an individual would come back to us to “thank” us for the healing. Although we thanked them for the feedback, we felt that we weren’t healing; rather we were just scanning their body for useful and helpful information.

But over time, we were witness to several incidents that we could not explain, times when the client was healed.

Marsha, a young woman with temporal lobe epilepsy, comes to mind. After we gave her referring neuro-psychologist the “scan” information, Marsha wanted to meet with me. At first, I declined because I knew I had said all that there was to say. Later, I agreed to meet with her. When we met, serious physical problems were evident, including a hand that was curling into itself as well as slurred speech.  I remember wondering just what else I could do when I mentally heard, “Heal her.”

“You don’t understand. I do body scanning and evaluations. I don’t do healing. Besides, look at her. Her problems are very noticeable. Couldn’t you give me someone easy to start with?”

“Heal her!”

I moved over to the sofa and took her twisted hand in my own. I could feel the energy that she was turning inward on herself.

“Marsha, you are doing this to your body and you have to take control of this energy. No one else can do it for you. You are going to start by healing your hand.” I then proceeded to tell her about a past life where she was a Chinese man who had let his nails grow through his hand in order that he might have control over his life.

Marsh turned white. “That is the life I saw when I first underwent hypnosis!” She finished the story that I had begun. The energy in the room changed and I felt a oneness with her, unlike anything I had ever experienced.

Marsha left in the same physical condition as when she arrived.

Two weeks later I received a telephone call. “You heard about Marsha?”

“Did she die?”

“No. She was putting a splint on her hand every night in order to keep it from retracting more. One night, she forgot to put the splint on and woke up to find her hand was normal. Not only that, but she doesn’t have a speech problem anymore.”

On another occasion, I was with my friend Tom. Tom had not been feeling well for several months, and as we strolled around Central Park, I had this strong feeling that I wanted to send energy to his liver. I asked him if that would be OK.

We returned to the hotel, where I asked him to lie down. I placed my hand on his liver. My only thought was that I would imagine running white light down my arm to my palm. Before I finished this thought, I felt an intense current race through my body. I couldn’t move my hand. It was a loop of electric current, as if my hand and his liver were magnetic poles.

A loud voice boomed, “That’s enough!” The energy suddenly shut off, just as quickly as it had started. A few days later, Tom’s physician pronounced him perfectly healthy.

As I reflect on my history of conducting medical scans, I see the healing energy thread that I have tended to ignore. It’s impossible to intensely focus attention, or awareness, on someone or something and not have an effect, even if it is only the observer effect.

There’s one more piece to this blog. Years ago, I had the very good fortune to study with Frances Farrelly.  Although there are many ways to describe Fran, I usually say she was an “old time medium.” She was the real thing. Her tool was radionics, but she didn’t need the box. Often people would be healed simply by writing to Fran, asking for healing. They would thank her for the healing before she had even opened the envelope.

Without going into detail, this happened to me recently.  I casually asked a group of healers if they would focus on what I have been told are my slow-growing cataracts. (There was a strict protocol for this, but I didn’t know it at the time.) The bottom line was one morning, about two hours after waking, I realized I could see very clearly.  Things at a distance were sharp and crisp, not blurry. I could even read signs. I still can.

Beginning in November, at the next Medical Intuition Class in Virginia, I will be incorporating the energy cure, Bill Bengston’s method of healing into the process. In my opinion, we have been doing this all along, let’s tweak it and see what happens.

*(I will be training classes on Medical Intuition, and seeing private clients, at Equilibrium in March and August of 2016.)

You are welcome. But it doesn’t mean I “know” anything, I’m still in discovery mode!

Just reading Burt Berkson’s book The Alpha Lipoic Acid Breakthrough – and wondering if you knew Julia Schopick and her book Honest Medicine – and here you are mentioning Burt Berkson and linking to Julia’s website.

And – as in the previous comment – thank you for sharing information.

I don’t know Julia, I have known Burt for a few years. He is a really likable fellow and fits into the category of those doing “good” work who bump up against the walls of the medical establishment!

I went to one of your trainings in Phoenix. you opened many doors.
In the above post you mentioned that there is a strict protocol for dealing with cataracts? Am I understanding correctly?
Thank you!

So good to hear from you. I hope to be back in Phoenix sometime this next year…teaching a class.Keep checking my posts (and/or sign up for notification of posts) for more information.

RE: protocol for cataracts. It is the Bill Bengston method: http://bengstonresearch.com/. You can follow up with him for more details. Equilibrium in Chicago also does healings in this area: http://equilibrium-e3.com/.
